Find the Work You Love

One-day Workshop Sat 22 August 2020, 10am - 5pm
at the beautiful SATORI GOZO CENTRE (Gozo / Malta)

Are you unhappy at work? Would you like a more fulfilling career or life direction?
Based on Richard N Bolles' renowned career guide What Colour is Your Parachute, this introductory day will provide you with tools to go beyond your CV. An enriching and enjoyable combination of exercises will get you started on the following aspects: your favourite transferable skills, your favourite fields (or fascinations), your work-related values, favourite people environments, desired working conditions, and preferred geographical location.
You will learn how to combine several of these elements to arrive at a surprising range of career and lifestyle options. This not only supports your wellbeing but will help you stand out in an increasingly hidden job market.
This structured yet relaxed event includes short presentations, discussion, individual awareness exercises, and small group work to make for a stimulating day. You will come away with an at-a-glance 'career diagram' tool for further exploration, and with the option of staying in touch with a group of fellow travellers on this road.

This event will be held with a maximum of 12 participants in an outdoor space and social distancing will be observed.

"A very inspiring and enjoyable event, led by a top-class facilitator. Thank you, Marietta.”

D. Railton, Marketing Strategist, Bath

Do you feel stuck in a rut at work? Would you like to change career and feel passionate about work? Are you wondering how to find your actual vocation? This workshop is for those who want to change how they work and get inspired by new career options. On day 1, participants are introduced to the concept of ‘Vocation’ based on Richard Bolles’ career guide ‘What Colour is Your Parachute’. Going beyond their CV, participants will learn enjoyable and fascinating exercises to clarify their favourite skills, and favourite fields (special knowledges). Already at this stage, an outline of surprising career and lifestyle possibilities can emerge.
On day 2, participants’ personal inventory is enriched by exploring their unique values and mission statement, as well as favourite people environments, desired working conditions, and preferred geographical location. Participants will come away with an at-a-glance visual representation of their vocational options, and a motivating action plan to go with it.

Presentations, discussion, individual exercises, and small group work are combined to make for a stimulating & inspiring workshop. The friendly and relaxed environment of the venue of your choice will contribute to your comfort throughout the weekend. Events include lunch, refreshments and course materials.

Exploring vocation in a group can be particularly motivating. The exchange with other participants can lead to deeper insight, a wider range of fresh ideas, and expanded networks. RealVocation will work closely with you to design the optimal workshop for your group - in your particular industry.

Available workshop formats: 1 day, 2 days, or 3 days.
Group size: minimum 8, maximum 15 participants.

"The Parachute workshop was thoroughly engaging and inspiring both personally and professionally. I left with the motivation to apply the new tools...the facilitator conveyed knowledge, enthusiasm and competence within a relaxed and fun environment conducive to learning."

D. Taylor, Employment Specialist, Yorkshire
